Chivu to play for Inter Milan again in April

Inter Milan football player Cristi Chivu is going to return to the pitch in April, according to FCInternews.it.

Chivu, who is also the captain of the Romanian national football team, is probably going to play in the match with Inter-Bologna on 3 April.

His manager, Giovanni Becali, has been quoted as saying: "I think he is going to be ready to go back on the pitch in a month. He has been recovering very well."

Chivu suffered a skull fracture during a match his team won against Chievo on 6 January in Italian Series A play.

Chivu, 29, injured his head in a duel with Sergio Pellissier and had to undergo head surgery.

Glad to see him back on his feet again. One of Romania's most disciplined and top players, just love the guy. Get in there, Cristi! I just hope he hasn't been affected too negatively by that horrible injury, hopefully he'll play with the same quality again.

Glad to hear he's back on the field. Even so, I understand he must have been horrified (after he actually had the injury and lied in the hospital bed), I saw an image and a youtube video, it was scary! Could have been killed, and doctors even admitted afterwards that he was 'meant' to die but luckily they saved him and he resisted well and now he seems fine. Just don't know how that will affect his football skills now though... - Scroll down for the promised video (in Italian, concerning Chivu's injury).

Premier League team acquires Romanian football player

I know it's been a little while, but here it is (announced Jan 15th 2010):

"Romanian national team player Razvan Cocis will transfer to Portsmouth, last ranked in the English Premier League, it was revealed today (Fri).

Cocis, 27, will transfer from Lokomotiv Moscow to the Premier League team for three years.

Cocis played for Sheriff Tiraspol from 2004 to 2007 and has 32 caps with the national team."

 My view on Cocis is that he is very underrated and can be a great player at times, he hasn't been called up too much to the Romanian national team, but when he has, he's scored a good amount of goals (1 goal vs. Faroe Islands, which was his only call-up at the World Cup Qualifications).

Gazeta has found out the name of the player from USA which Steaua wants: Josh Tudela. He is midfielder, is 25 years old, he played with Beckham at Los Angeles Galaxy and he will be tested by Steaua in the training camps from Turkey
'Pele from Evansville', this way is nicknamed Josh Tudela, central midfielder of 25 years old, who will come as Stoichiţă’s player for tests in the training camp from Antalya

While waiting for Iovov and Ouon, Steaua negotiated few days ago in secret with another player. He is American, Josh Tudela, who played last time for Los Angeles Galaxy, where he had been colleague with David Beckham for two years.

He will be tested in the friendly matches from Turkey
Tudela, who is an offensive midfielder, is free of contract since this summer and from that moment on he didn’t play. He will come in the training camps of Steaua from Antalya and he will be tested in the friendly matches and if he plays good and he convinces Stoichiţă, then he will sign an agreement with Steaua.

The DVD with Beckham convinced Stoichiţă
Stoichiţă has seen on two DVDs and one was a friendly match since December 2008 between LA Galaxy and the team of Oceania’s States. The score was 3-0 for the American team, in a match in which Beckham evolved as right midfielder, and Tudela in the center, the two players have changed a lot of passes during the match.

Technical and crabbed
Tudela has started to play football in the team from his high-school, being declared the most offensive football player. After he had moved to the professional football he was surnamed “Pele from Evansville" because of his excellent technique. He has won a famous competition of juggling with the ball and he managed to keep the ball without falling for 40 minutes.

Dayro Moreno is tempted by Poli

"After he declared that he would never come back to Romania, Dayro Moreno transmitted to his agent that Timişoara’s offer is tempting.

Dayro Moreno’s transfer from Steaua to Poli Timişoara for 550.000 euro could be concluded on Wednesday the latest.

The officials from Poli have managed to discuss with the agent of the player, Alvaro Munoz Castro, who asked them a proposal on mail in order to discuss it with Dayro. "I asked him that the player shall contact us personally in order to hear from him that he is interested in the proposal we advanced. The agent told us that the player is tempted to come at Poli, but we want to hear this from Dayro. His agent asked us a proposal on mail, but we have surpassed this stage long time ago", explained the sponsor Marian Iancu.

Besides, the leaders from Timişoara have already invited Dayro and his agent at Bucharest in order to start the discussions for signing the contract, if the player is tempted to return to Romania. Moreno has another proposal to return to Once Caldas, the team from where he transferred at Steaua, but the offer of the Columbians is obviously inferior to the one proposed by Poli.

You can select one of the available channels/pages at the top or side of the blog. Currently we only have 5 or 6, but we will continue to grow. We will post information on a certain match and if it is on an available channel, a link will be provided at the bottom of the post.

We are still testing this though, not completely sure if it will work. We suggest you subscribe to us and the rss feed so that you may know when a match will be on, or if you know the time already, check to see if we're broadcasting it. If the video box is black, then it either hasn't started, is finished, or there is a problem broadcasting.

Just a little update on the EPL, since the Liga I doesn't start again until late February.

What's up with Florin Costea?

Florin Costea, who has been playing for Universitatea Craiova for a few good seasons, is now being transferred to another club. This club, is yet to be confirmed.

















Celtic (Scotland), Fulham (England), Portsmouth (England), and Wolfsburg (Germany) are all clubs looking to be able to sign him. The Porto, Shalke, and Koln claims are now over, but it is still very competitive between those 4 big clubs.

These are the clubs I think he should focus most on (in order of most important to least important):

1. Fulham
2. Wolfsburg
3. Celtic
4. Portsmouth

I am hoping he gets offered a good sum by either Fulham or Wolfsburg. Celtic wouldn't be too bad either, but I think he'd best stay out of Scotland.

Mutu blows it again...

Fiorentina Striker Adrian Mutu Punches Man During VIP Party Fight - Report

Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu could find himself in deeper problems after punching a man in the face during a VIP party in Florence.

According to Il Firenze, the Romanian striker was a guest at the Four Seasons hotel when a party took place last Friday. After a heated altercation with another man, the former Chelsea star is reported to have punched a 43-year-old Libyan in the face.

The blow was so hard it knocked the man to the ground. An ambulance and the police were called, and the man was rushed to hospital where he was kept in for further treatment.

A police investigation is underway and local media reports claim witnesses saw Mutu strike the man following an argument on the dancefloor.

Neither Fiorentina nor Mutu have released a statement regarding the alleged attack.
