Another Romanian in the Bundesliga

Another Romanian could be set to play in the Bundesliga, it was revealed today (Tues).

Football player Paul Parvulescu, from Gaz Metan Medias, is going to be transferred to Hoffenheim, according to Prosport.

Parvulescu, 21, is reportedly in discussions to sign a contract for five seasons and the Romanian club will get 1.5 million Euros, Prosport wrote, quoting sources from the club. The transfer has not been confirmed officially.

Currently, Romanian Ciprian Marica is playing for VfB Stuttgart.

Another Romanian, Alexandru Ionita, from Rapid, has signed a three and a half years contract with FC Koln, starting this summer.

Romanian international praised by the German press

Romanian international Ciprian Marica was praised today (Tues) by the German press for having scored five goals this year in the Bundesliga for his team Vfb Stuttgart.

Marica scored two goals at the end of last week in a match with Hanovra.

The German newspaper Bild wrote about the "miraculous" Marica: "It looks like Marica, it talks like Marica, has always been said. But now, there is a new Ciprian Marica, the one we've been seeing in the last three months."

Under new coach Christian Gross, Marica is playing well. Before this season, he had scored only five goals in 56 matches in the Bundesliga.

Marica transferred to VfB Stuttgart in 2007 for 8.3 million Euro from Shakhtar Donetsk and was often criticised by the German press, which considered the transfer a bad one. Until now.

Arlauskis - defeated by Liverpool, wanted by Everton

• Already monitorred by FC Sevilla, Unirea’s very promising keeper Giedrius Arlauskis (22) has become a target for Everton, as well. Last night, the Lithuanian was watched once again from the stands by an Everton scout and, although he could have done better (“especially on the second and third goal”, as he agreed after the game), he remains probably one of the most interesting players from Romania.
• Steaua held the initial talks with Cristian Fabbiani (26). The Argentinian centre-forward asked for a huge salary, given his recent struggles, 250.000 EUR/season, but his agent Luciano Duthu says that an agreement could be found, as the player is motivated to return to Romania and prove that he’s not finished. Released on a free transfer by CFR, he should lower a lot his demands just to get a shot at a permanent deal, as Steaua won’t be willing to offer him more than 10-15.000 per month, until the summer.
• Marko Ljubinkovic (28) and FC Vaslui are ready to part ways, but in a fashion that should make club owner Adrian Porumboiu regret the decision to keep the player and reject important offers, between 1,5 and 2 million Euros. Ljubinkovic has been informed by coach Marius Lacatus that he’s not part of his plans and sent to train with the reserve team, but now has been reported missing from training. The Serbian midfielder has had a trumendeous 2007/2008 season, scoring 16 goals in 30 matches :-O and, after another decent year (28 games/6 goals), lost motivation turning from a key player into just a rotation/backup solution.

Premier League team acquires Romanian football player

I know it's been a little while, but here it is (announced Jan 15th 2010):

"Romanian national team player Razvan Cocis will transfer to Portsmouth, last ranked in the English Premier League, it was revealed today (Fri).

Cocis, 27, will transfer from Lokomotiv Moscow to the Premier League team for three years.

Cocis played for Sheriff Tiraspol from 2004 to 2007 and has 32 caps with the national team."

 My view on Cocis is that he is very underrated and can be a great player at times, he hasn't been called up too much to the Romanian national team, but when he has, he's scored a good amount of goals (1 goal vs. Faroe Islands, which was his only call-up at the World Cup Qualifications).

Gazeta has found out the name of the player from USA which Steaua wants: Josh Tudela. He is midfielder, is 25 years old, he played with Beckham at Los Angeles Galaxy and he will be tested by Steaua in the training camps from Turkey

While waiting for Iovov and Ouon, Steaua negotiated few days ago in secret with another player. He is American, Josh Tudela, who played last time for Los Angeles Galaxy, where he had been colleague with David Beckham for two years.

He will be tested in the friendly matches from Turkey
Tudela, who is an offensive midfielder, is free of contract since this summer and from that moment on he didn’t play. He will come in the training camps of Steaua from Antalya and he will be tested in the friendly matches and if he plays good and he convinces Stoichiţă, then he will sign an agreement with Steaua.

The DVD with Beckham convinced Stoichiţă
Stoichiţă has seen on two DVDs and one was a friendly match since December 2008 between LA Galaxy and the team of Oceania’s States. The score was 3-0 for the American team, in a match in which Beckham evolved as right midfielder, and Tudela in the center, the two players have changed a lot of passes during the match.

Technical and crabbed
Tudela has started to play football in the team from his high-school, being declared the most offensive football player. After he had moved to the professional football he was surnamed “Pele from Evansville" because of his excellent technique. He has won a famous competition of juggling with the ball and he managed to keep the ball without falling for 40 minutes.
